Ensure that:
the T1/E1 Combo Card or Dual T1/E1 Framer Module is installed and programmed.
the Interconnect Restriction and Intercept Handling is programmed for each trunk.

To program Embedded MSDN/DPNSS trunks:
Enter "A" or "B" in the Address for Message Control field.
Enter "DPNSS" in the Integrated Digital Access field.
Select "NT" or "LT" for Termination Mode.
For E1 Trunks, select "75" or "120" for E1 Impedance (120 for twisted pair or 75 for co-ax).

Enter the Digital Link Descriptor Number programmed in step 1.
Set the ANI/DNIS ISDN Number Delivery Trunk field to "Yes".
Select "UNIVERSAL E1" or "UNIVERSAL T1" in the Card Type field.
Enable "Incoming" or "Outgoing" from the Dual Seizure Priority field.
Select "MAIN PBX" from the Far End Connection field.
Enable "MSDN-DPNSS" from the Signaling Protocol field.

Attributes form
Enter the COS number programmed in step 3.
Complete the Non-dial in Trunks
Answer Point fields
OR
Complete the Dial in Trunks: Incoming Digit Modification fields.
NOTE: Dial-in trunks used as incoming trunks must always have an entry in the Absorb column. (You must enter "0" if no digits are to be absorbed. If you leave this field as Blank, calls will fail).

Complete the Trunk Number, Trunk Service Number (from step 5), Circuit Descriptor (from step 4), and Interconnect Number fields.
Network
Synchronization form (optional)
Assign a source connection to a Network Source Clock.
Ensure that option "DPNSS/QSIG Diversion Enabled" is set to "Yes" (optional, but strongly recommended)
If required, set the Maintain Original Forward or Reroute Reason to "Yes". With this option enabled, the system maintains and displays on the nominated party's telephone or console the original reason for forwarding or rerouting a call.
